Indonesia Islands Indonesia was located at 6° North Lintang Line - 11°08' South Lintang Line and 95° -  141°45' Lie Alongside East.  Indonesia had 17,504 islands that were spread around the Equator. Because of being passed through the Equator, Indonesia had a tropical climate. Indonesia had 9,634 islands that were not yet given name and around 6,000 islands not have inhabitants.

Indonesia had 5 big islands, that are: Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Irian Jaya. Was based on the width, the was the biggest island of the six in the world, the Kalimantan Island became the biggest island of the three and the Irian Jaya Island was the biggest island of the two in the world.

The Sumatra Island , Kalimantan Island and the Sulawesi Island were crossed by the Equator. Moreover, Indonesia was the country that had the most ethnic group in the world with the number more than 740 ethnic groups. Indonesia was divided into three main geographical territories that are: the Big Sundanese Islands, covered the Javanese Island, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi. The Little Sundanese Islands, covered the Balinese Island, the West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara. The Maluku Island and Irian. Because so many islands and the ethnic group in Indonesia, many also the tourist attraction that could be visited to go on holiday, the nature tour or the cultural tour.

Most Indonesian islands territories are overgrown by the primary tropics forest. Indonesia had more than 400 volcanoes and 130 among them were the volcano that still was active. The highest point of the Indonesian Islands was the peak of the Jayawijaya Mountain in the Irian Island with the height 5.030 meters. Moreover, was gotten also the Toba Lake that became the biggest lake in Indonesia that was located in the Sumatran Island. In the Kalimantan Island was gotten the Kapuas River that became the longest river in Indonesia in a long manner 1.125 kilometers. The Sulawesi Island was the Anoa endangered species habitat, Babi Rusa and the Tarsius Monkey. The Buddhist monument biggest in the world was the Borobudur Temple that was located in Central Java (close to Jogyakarta) with high 42 meters and long relief more than 1 kilometer. Made by the Syailendra Dynasty in the royal period Mataram Kuno (750M-850M).

Afterwards, in Indonesia was gotten the island that has been famous in the world, the Balinese Island that became the aim of the favorites of the trip of tourist’s holidays. Apart from Bali, the island that did not lose beauty of its nature was the Lombok Island. By the Balinese Island and the Lombok Island, in Indonesia still many others islands that had beauty of nature and various culture as the aim of the tour of going on holiday. (hen)
