Karimun came from the Javanese Language that is kremun that meaning that bolting or very vague. Given this name because this island was seen very vague from the Java Island that was caused its location that quite far from the Java Island. The Karimunjawa Island became heaven from the divers. The other unique matter was the existence of the coastal mainland with its white sand that projected to sea. Tanjung Gelam Island. The island Tanjung Gelam was the island that was beautiful with the white sand carpet and colored sea water green and blue.
