Sundak Coast

Sundak Coast entered the Sidoharjo Village territory, Tepus Sub District, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta Province. Since was named Sundak, this coast began to be able to be heard the reverberations. Currently, this nature tourist attraction was enough to be enjoyed by the domestic tourists and foreign countries. Therefore, Sundak Coast became the location of the tour of mainstay nature Regional Government Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special District Province.

According to the story that developed in the community, the name of Sundak Coast began to be used after in this coast the struggle between a dog and the porcupine happened. The struggle happened because of a dog that was hungry by chance met a porcupine. The porcupine was afterwards pursued and finally became this prey of the hunger dog. On the incident, the owner of the dog often talked about this coast as Sundak. Whichever Sundak was the blend from ‘Asu‘ (the dog in the Javanese language) and ‘Landak‘ (the skinned animal the thorn).

Tourists will never the negative to say that the Sundak Coast and the environment were quite amazing. The coast personally, put forward pure white sand and clear sea water. That not to mention when the visitor tried to walk from the coastal lip to the middle of sea that was relatively shallow to the best of 30 meters.
