The Rinjani Mountain was in three regencies that is: East Lombok, Middle Lombok, West Lombok and was part of the Rinjani Mountain National Park that had the area around 41.330 h.a. On the west of the Rinjani cone was gotten the caldera widely 3.500 x 4.800 meters, along to the side of east. In this caldera was gotten the Segara Anak Lake (2.008 meters height) widely around 1.100 hectare and the depth between 160 - 230 meters. With the colour of his water that was blue, this lake like the ocean child. Therefore was acknowledged as "Segara Anak".

 

In Segara Anak often was gotten by the fish so as often was used to fish. Water that flowed from this lake formed the very beautiful waterfall, flowed beyond the steep chasm. The southern part of this lake was mentioned with Segara Endut. In the east of the caldera was gotten the Baru Jari Mountain that had the crater measuring 170 × 200 meters with the height 2,296 - 2376 meters. This small mountain finally erupted during 2004.

To reach our Segara Anak Lake could climb from the Senaru Village (the height 500 meters) or the village of Sembalun Lawang (the height 1.200 meters). The Sembalun route rather long but flat, and the weather was hotter because through the intense savannah carpet. From the side of Senaru the ascent without the break, but the soft weather because of going through the forest.
