sulawesi islandThe Sulawesi Island was located between the Kalimantan Island and the Maluku Islands. Widely the territory of 174,600 km², the Sulawesi Island was the biggest island of the five in Indonesia and the biggest island of the eleven in the world

The Sulawesi Island had the unique form and had three peninsulas that lie alongside to East Sea, east and southeast. The Sulawesi Island bordering with the Makasar Strait on the west, Maluku Sea on the east, the Philippines on the north and Flores on the south.

The Sulawesi Island was divided into six provinces that are the North Sulawesi Province, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, South-East Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Gorontalo. The province was expanded in the Sulawesi Island was Central Sulawesi. Most mainlands in the Central Sulawesi Province were mountainous and the Katopasa Mountain was the highest mountain with the height 2.835 meters from sea level. The community in this island (especially the area of the Tanah Toraja in South Sulawesi) had the habit that was unique that is burying the body in the stone or in the cavity in the tree.
