Regions Dempo Mountain is the only mountain tourist sites in South Sumatra. In the forest area to the summit of Dempo Mountain have a small river with crystal clear water. The climbers can take advantage of this river water as drinking water during the trip. To climb, visitors must pass through the forest area by tracing a path that is filled with roots of large trees that are encroaching. From Terminal Pagar Alam, visitors can head to the foot of Mount Dempo a distance about 15 km using a private vehicle or charter to the Tea Factory PTPN III. Near this tea factory, it's good to meet with elders of Dempo Mountain visitor, namely the elder person by nature lovers who will climb Dempo Mountain. He will escort visitors to the nearest village from the foot of Dempo Mountain, namely Kampung Empat with travel time about 30 minutes. From here, visitors can continue the journey through the path leading to the summit of Dempo Mountain.
